SharePoint team Web sites provide a place on the Web where different groups can communicate and work together behind the security of a unique username/password feature. Members can contribute to the team Web site using nothing more than their Web browser.

The following is a list of some of the tools available through the Member Center:

Discussion boards may be created for members discussing topics relevant to their group.

An announcement list makes it easy for members to post news and information for others to see.

Members have their own contacts list which includes information such as name, address, and telephone number.

Members may check their personal calendar and update it from any computer that is connected to the Internet.

Members may us their personal task list to keep track of projects that need to completed.

The office of PIE will inform members of upcoming meetings, deadlines, and other important events through the office of PIE's Calendar.

The office of PIE invites members of PIE to visit the Member Center located on the World Wide Web. As a member, your username will be the first 4 digits of your membership number provided on your members’ card. Your temporary password is the last 4 digits of your home phone number listed on your application.

When visiting the Member Center for the first time you may need to contact the office of PIE to have your account with the Member Center activated. Members should change their password as soon as possible to maintain security.

Members are added to the site with Contributor-level access. The description for Contributor is "View pages and documents, view and contribute to discussions".
